PHELPS DIET

For a common person, Phelps´diet is guaranteed record - of obesity

The breakfast of the biggest Olympic champion of all time starts with two cups of coffee and three fried egg sandwiches filled with cheese, tomatoes, fried onions, lettuce and mayonnaise.

Do you think it's only these?? No..., it still has an omelet with five eggs, cereals, three pieces of toast with sugar and three chocolate pancakes .

Lunch is enriched macaroni and two sandwiches of ham and cheese with mayonnaise on white bread, accompanied by energy drinks. The energy drink comes back around the dinner, when Phelps closed the day with a pizza (an entire one!) and a half pound of macaroni.

If you wake up today, had lunch with Michael Phelps and tried to catch him up on the table (as in the pool is difficult…), you'd probably end your day in a hospital gurney, with indigestion.

If you decide to continue to follow "Phelps' diet", the only record you'd achieve would be the"arrival at the rate of obesity in less time."

The prodigy child of the Olympic Games in Beijing said in an interview released this Wednesday (13) to the American network NBC that consumes no less than 12 thousand calories a day. Every time he sits for a meal, he eats 4 thousand calories - twice what the doctors recommend for a common person for a full day; overall, the feeding of Phelps leads six times more calories than a mortal like me reles and you.

Fifty has never looked so fabulous!

Madonna celebrated her 50th birthday Saturday at a trendy London club Volstead.

"It was a small party," a source confirms to PEOPLE.

"A private event for her close family and friends. It was low key."

And despite lingering rumors of marital strife, the elaborate bash was organized by her husband Guy Ritchie.

"She looks better now than she ever has done," her director husband told the 90 gathered guests, according to Britain's The Sun.

"I'm so proud. I love her so much." Highlights of the evening, which had people dancing til 3 a.m. included Madonna's daughter Lourdes serenading her on the piano and illusionist David Blaine performing card tricks.

Later, as the deejay blasted the singer's greatest hits, she hit the dancefloor with Lourdes and sons Rocco and David.

But it was back to business Sunday morning, when the pop star was spotted heading to the gym for her usual daily workout.

Don't get too close to a brown bear! Activity

The Alaskan brown bear is the biggest land-based meat-eating animal in the world.

It weighs up to 770 kilos. You don’t want to annoy a brown bear because they are famous for their bad tempers.

They can also run very fast.

A running bear can reach 30 mph. That’s quicker than a horse. It’s certainly quicker than you. Bears don’t like loud noises. Luckily, Marin Cogey remembered this at a vital moment.

A bear was trying to crush the 55 year-old Bulgarian in his arms at the time.
Escape?
Mr. Cogey was hunting in woods near his home in Milkovica in Bulgaria when the bear attacked him from behind.

A real ‘bear hug’ is no fun.

Mr. Cogey had a rifle but couldn’t free his arms to use it.

After a struggle he managed to hit the animal with the butt of his gun. The bear let go.

Somehow Mr. Cogey managed to fire his rifle into the air. That made a very loud noise! The bear ran off.

A happy end to the story? Not quite. There’s an expression in English; ‘you are not safe until you are out of the wood’.

Mr. Cogey was still in the wood. And bears can still run at 30 MPH. Mr. Cogey wanted to get away – fast. He was in such a hurry that he forgot to put the safety catch on his rifle.

As he climbed to his feet, he slipped and lost his balance. The gun went off again. This time it was pointing directly at Mr. Cogey’s head.
Lucky Escape
Some hours later another hunter was walking through the wood.

He came across a body lying face down in the leaves.

A rifle lay beside it. When he touched the man’s head, he felt blood. ‘Oh no!’ he cried, fearing the worst.

At that moment the body came to life. Mr Cogey wiped the blood from his eyes. ‘What happened?’ he asked.

What had happened was this. The bullet had grazed Mr. Cogey’s head but missed the important bits.

Mr. Cogey had lost consciousness. ‘It was a very lucky escape,’ Mr. Cogey later said in hospital. He was there with relatively minor injuries: a punctured lung and broken ribs. ‘The bullet missed by a few millimeters. ‘ So a man fights off a huge bear and escapes. Then he falls over - and nearly kills himself! There’s a lesson there somewhere.

American English Tips

Standard American English Tips: Speaking English is not only about using proper grammar.
To use English effectively, you need to understand the culture in which it is spoken. Here are a number of important tips to remember when speaking English in the United States.

General Points to Remember

Most Americans only speak English: While it is true that more and more Americans speak Spanish, most Americans only speak English. Don't expect them to understand your native language.

Americans have difficulties understanding foreign accents: Many Americans are not used to foreign accents. This requires patience from both of you!

Conversation Tips

Speak about location: Americans love to talk about location. When speaking to a stranger, ask them where they are from and then make a connection with that place. For example: "Oh, I have a friend who studied in Los Angeles. He says it's a beautiful place to live." Most Americans will then willingly talk about their experiences living or visiting that particular city or area.

Talk about work: Americans commonly ask "What do you do?". It's not considered impolite (as in some countries) and is a popular topic of discussion between strangers.

Talk about sports: Americans love sports! However, they love American sports. When speaking about football, most Americans understand "American Football", not soccer.

Be careful when expressing ideas about race, religion or other sensitive topics: The United States is a multi-cultural society. Addressing People

Many Americans prefer first names: Americans often prefer using first names, even when dealing with people in very different positions. Americans will generally say, "Call me Tom." and then expect you to remain on a first name basis.

Americans prefer informal: In general, Americans prefer informal greetings and using first names or nicknames when speaking with colleagues and acquaintances.

Public Behavior

Always shake hands: Americans shake hands when greeting each other. This is true for both men and women. Other forms of greeting such as kissing on the cheeks, etc., is generally not appreciated.
